Severe Turbulence – Safe Landing on BBC Radio

🌤️ Following the arrival of the summer holidays in the UK, Finlay Asher and Todd Smith spoke with BBC Radio Stoke about the increase of severe turbulence due to climate change.

👨‍🔧 First up was Finlay to give an aerospace engineer’s insights into what turbulence is, what’s causing it, whether severe turbulence is getting worse and what we can do about it:

🌪️ Severe turbulence has increased 55% over the North Atlantic in the last 45 years. It’s also forecast to increase another two or three times globally in the coming decades.
