Welcome Aboard: A Safe Landing Meet & Greet
Been following Safe Landing from the sidelines? Maybe you’re on our newsletter, lurking in the WhatsApp group, or quietly cheering us on – but haven’t made it to a meeting yet. This one’s for you.
Welcome Aboard is a relaxed, informal hour to meet the Safe Landing community – no agenda, no pressure, just conversation. Whether you’re a pilot, cabin crew, engineer, aviation student, or simply someone who loves flying and can’t stop thinking about its climate impact, you’re welcome here.
We know it’s not always easy to talk about this stuff. Cognitive dissonance, denial, and misinformation make it hard to know where to start – and even harder to know if it’s safe to ask questions out loud. This session is about meeting you exactly where you’re at, hearing your story, and exploring – gently, together – what being part of the solution could look like for you.
No expertise required. No commitment expected. Just bring your curiosity.
“I felt quite isolated with the paradox of enjoying my dream job, while understanding the part the aviation industry plays in the wider climate issue. Connecting with a like minded community looking for solutions has been a great source of support and inspiration.” – Richard Castle, longhaul Captain.
Our last session was Thursday 24th September, 7–8pm and we are hosting these sessions every other month our next one is pencilled in for Thursday 26th November, 7-8pm if you haven’t already, sign up to our mailing list so you don’t miss out when the link goes live.
