Safe Landing Listening Circle: 4th June 2026

10 May, 2026

We invite you to join our next Safe Landing Listening Circle, this is a confidential space for anybody in the Safe Landing community.

đź“… Thursday 4th June 2026
đź•– 19:00 – 20:30 UTC+1 (UK time)

For more details, watch the video below with climate psychology researcher and psychotherapist Caroline Hickman answering some FAQs.

Dan & Todd (both former airline pilots and part of our core crew) have received training from the Climate Psychology Alliance to be co-facilitators and co-participants of the listening circle.

What is a listening circle?

A listening circle is a simple, hospitable, empathetic space where fears and uncertainties about our climate and ecological crisis can be safely expressed. Find out more about them here.

Why attend a listening circle, what’s the point?

We often spend a lot of our time ‘doing’ things: for example, trying to kindly nudge the aviation industry on to a more sustainable path. This is undoubtedly important, but what if listening is also an act of ‘doing’? Can slowing down and being with our feelings also give us a sense of agency and could it also benefit the work we find ourselves participating in externally? The best way to answer that is probably to come and try one for yourself.

This may be a daunting proposition, given we live in a world where feelings are not often encouraged or even valued, but we promise to welcome everybody equally, and guide you through the process – which we hope will give all participants a shared outlet for their feelings, and a strengthened sense of community.

Register to attend

To hold the space effectively, we are limited to 12 participants so please do RSVP at your earliest convenience. Sign-up for our Safe Landing ‘Listening Circle’, taking place on 4th June from 19:00-20:30pm UTC+1 (UK time), using this form:

We recorded a short conversation with Psychotherapist Caroline Hickman to answer some FAQs and give a little context to this new offering from the Safe Landing community.

In this video, Dan & Todd share some of their experience of both the inner conflicts they have had to navigate, the importance of finding a like-minded community and the benefits of shared spaces to be with the emotional experiences of the ‘poly crises’ we find ourselves in.

We are limited in numbers (per event) but rest assured we would like to make this a regular offering – as in our experience: processing deeper emotions collectively has been transformational and certainly benefited the work we do in the world and our resilience to the uncertainty associated with the enormous change heading our way due to the climate crisis.
