Finlay appeared on Al Jazeera to discuss the impact to aviation of the recent conflict in the Middle-East. Airlines are scrambling to respond to disruption caused by the US-Israeli led conflict in Iran, which has had knock-on impacts to countries across the Persian Gulf. The closure of airspace over Iran is putting additional pressure on airlines who are responding to flight cancellations and the surging price of jet fuel. He also discusses what this means for sustainability, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and responding to other global crises.
We want to acknowledge that these disruptions and impacts are of course nothing in comparison to what those on the ground in this active war zone are currently experiencing.
